How do I upload the drawing so it get's to you?

When you select your product before you go to Cart, there is the "upload" button where you can chose the photo of your drawing. Simply select the image and press Upload. 

What size/format image do you need?

You don't need a fancy camera, you can take the photo straight from your phone and upload it to us. Please ensure the photo is as large as possible, the bigger the better! We will get in touch with you if the image isn't big enough. Any image format is fine.

How can I make sure I send you the best photo for the best results?

When taking the photo of the drawing, for best results, please be in good lighting, take the photo directly from above the drawing and take it in as high a megapixel as possible. Take a look at our "do's and don'ts" page here 

Do I need to use special pens to draw the picture?

Not at all, any colouring pen, crayon, chalk, paint are all great. For the best results use bright bold colours and we do highly recommend using felt tip pen. 

I want to order a gift but my child hasn't done the drawing yet, can I pay now and send the drawing later?

We do need to have the drawing at the time of purchase. The website is designed where you can't checkout unless a drawing is attached to your order. 

I've taken the photo of my drawing but I have the table and background showing, does this matter?

No this doesn't matter. When we receive your image our studio edits your photograph so it's just the drawing/paint marks which we use. 

I'd like some bits of the drawing removed, how do I ask for this?

We edit your drawing to exactly how you'd like it. When you upload your photo there is an "edits" box, please type in there any edits you'd like us to do and we'll do them!

Do my handprints and footprints come out actual real life size?

No, we don't scale your handprints to size, we scale your handprints to fit the gift you've chosen.

How long does it take to arrive?

From receiving your order your product will be dispatched within 4 working days, you will receive a confirmation email as soon as it leaves us.

Do I get to see a proof before my gift is made?

We will email you a proof to approve for all the "Club Together"  range "The Family Handprint" framed range and the "Gifts From the Class" range only. All other gifts do not have proofs sent. 

Can you add things to the drawing if I put that in the "Edits" box?

We want your original drawing done by your child to remain exactly their work so we won't add things to your drawing. We can however move parts of the drawing around so if they add something we can move it into the place they'd like it to be!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do! We do this manually as the cost for delivery depends on the destination and gift weight. Please send us an email to support@dinkyartist.com and we'll be able to provide you with the shipping cost.

Can I use collage apps to put together multiple drawings?

Please do not use any form of collage app when uploading your photos, not only do they heavily reduce the size of your drawings so they are very small and pixelated, they also cut off parts of your drawings making the end result incredibly poor. 

I've got a handprint but it's not the best, can you add parts of hands and fingers on?

We are sorry but we can't add parts of hands or fingers to handprints. Each hand is completely different with it's own lines, skin textures and pressure applied when doing the print, making it impossible for us to match this up and making it appear natural. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do! You can simply checkout online. Please note that depending on your location you maybe subject to a customs charge, this is not paid for by us and will be a cost you'll need to cover. The customs office will email you should there be a charge to pay.
